JA of North Central Michigan Events
At JA of North Central Michigan, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!
JA-in-a-Day Coleman Elementary
JA programs typically occur 30- to 45-minutes per week for five weeks. However, a JA in a Day will have all five sessions delivered in one day. It is ideal to have two volunteers per classroom teach this session (the teacher is also always in the room). Our programs are designed for volunteers to teach, and everything is provided for you...no teaching experience needed!
JA Reality Park - Mt Pleasant Middle School
Help teens prepare for the real world by volunteering at Junior Achievement’s Reality Park — an engaging, hands-on financial literacy simulation where students learn what it really costs to be an adult.
Students are given a career, salary, and family scenario and must budget for housing, food, transportation, childcare, insurance, and more. That’s where YOU come in! Volunteers guide students through real-life financial decisions at interactive budgeting stations.
